Bridge Street Mission is a 501(c)(3) Christian non-profit charity providing Christ-centered help to those in need with an emphasis on life transformation for individuals experiencing homelessness, addictions and hunger. We are collecting resumes for the following positions and will be adding members to our team as God provides qualified candidates and resources. Current Needs
Residential Care Staff
Bridge Street Mission is seeking full and/or part-time Resident Care Staff to work with the men in our Recovery and Reentry Center. Our resident care staff are primarily advocates and case managers who build healthy godly relationships with men, provide practical help, encouragement, counsel as well as program accountability and a security presence. Additional responsibilities according to skills and experience will be considered in building a team. Preferred candidates will be free of all addictions and demonstrate a strong understanding of clients experiencing homelessness and addictions.
Facility Manager
Bridge Street Mission is seeking a full-time Facility Manager to provide clean, safe and cost-efficient buildings and grounds to support the evangelistic, compassionate and transformational ministry of Bridge Street Mission. Current properties include a Sober Living Center, an Outreach Center and a coffee kiosk. The preferred candidate will have diverse maintenance skills and janitorial experience. We are currently in the process of relocating to and rennovating a one campus location for all our ministries. He or she will have expertise in supply inventory, purchasing, workplace safety, risk management as well as familiarity with permits and zoning. The ability to mobilize individuals and groups of volunteers is a must including involvement and teaching of residents in chores and a vocational tract on facility management.
Future Needs
Women’s Recovery Program Manager
Bridge Street Mission would like to add a full-time Program Manager for its Women’s Recovery Center. The Women’s Recovery Center serves up to 20 women who are experiencing homelessness, being released from jail or coming out of rehab. They are housed, learn to live addiction free and are equipped to re-enter society as healthy contributors. A comprehensive program that moves women through stabilization, transformation and re-entry has been developed. The preferred candidate will have biblical training, the ability to further develop programming and demonstrate strong understanding of clients experiencing homelessness and addictions. He or she will have the ability to manage a team of volunteers, counsel those with addictions and foster a grace-based environment of structure and discipline.
Women’s Residential Care Staff
Bridge Street Missionwould like to add full and/or part-time Resident Care Staff to work with the women in our Recovery and Reentry Center. Resident Advisors
Bridge Street Mission employs a full or part-time Resident Advisor to work with the men and women in our Recovery Centers. This is a live on-site position and could be filled by a single individual or couple. Our resident advisors are primarily case managers who build healthy godly relationships with men and women, provide practical help, encouragement, counsel as well as provide accountability and a security presence. Preferred candidate will be free of all addictions for at least 2 years and demonstrate a strong understanding of clients experiencing homelessness and addictions.
Development Director
Bridge Street Mission would like to add a full-time Development Director to work with the Executive Director to advance the organization through donor acquisition, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. As the sole paid development team member, his or hers first priority will be to generate contributions for a robust annual fund program from multiple markets. Preferred candidate should have familiarity, experience and competency with donor databases, special events, direct mail, grant proposals, E-fundraising and direct solicitation. The ability to mobilize a team of volunteers is a must.
On-Going Needs
Business Manager
Bridge Street Mission employs a part-time (20 hours a week) Business Manager to oversee the legal, financial and human resource processes for the evangelistic, compassionate and transformational ministry of Bridge Street Mission as well as the profitability of Mission Grounds Espresso. This role includes banking, financial accounting, accounts payable, insurances, government reporting, payroll and budgeting. The preferred candidate will have strong expertise in QuickBooks applications and experience in enterprise development.
Office Manager
Bridge Street Mission employs a part-time (30 hours a week) office manager to provide administrative support for the evangelistic, compassionate and transformational ministry of Bridge Street Mission. This involves creating an organized, efficient and welcoming office environment while fulfilling a wide variety of administrative tasks including event management, desktop publishing and volunteer engagement. He or she will also serve as administrative assistant to the Executive Director. Preferred candidate will have experience in reception, inventory and purchasing, record keeping and office systems and equipment. Strong skills in the use of a wide variety of Microsoft office products, social media channels and database applications is a must.
Volunteer Program Manager
Bridge Street Mission would like to add a part-time (20 hours a week) Volunteer Program Manager to recruit, screen and place high impact volunteers into the evangelistic, compassionate and transformational ministry of Bridge Street Mission. This involves both onboarding volunteers and developing a volunteer friendly ministry through equipping staff in high impact ministry principles. He or she will provide direct leadership of volunteers for Bridge Street Mission events. The preferred candidate will have competency in Microsoft products, social media channels and database applications.
Outreach Center Manager
Bridge Street Mission employs a full-time Outreach Center Manager to oversee ministry to individuals who are experiencing hunger, homelessness and addiction. This includes both community outreach and the operation of an Outreach Center where men and women are fed, treated with dignity and given hope. Current activities include weekday daytime warming hours with a hot lunch as well as a series of summertime grill outs for the homeless community. Preferred candidate will have biblical training, the ability to further develop programming and demonstrate strong understanding of clients experiencing homelessness and addictions. He or she will have the ability to manage a volunteer team, network within the community and provide a safe and secure environment for clients, staff and volunteers.
Men’s Recovery Program Manager
Bridge Street Mission employs a full-time Program Manager for its Men’s Recovery Center. The Recovery Center serves up to 32 men who are experiencing homelessness, being released from jail or coming out of rehab are housed, learn to live addiction free and are equipped to re-enter society as healthy contributors. A comprehensive program that moves men through stabilization, transformation and re-entry has been developed. The preferred candidate will have biblical training, the ability to further develop programming and demonstrate strong understanding of clients experiencing homelessness and addictions. He or she will have the ability to manage a team of volunteers, counsel those with addictions and foster a grace-based environment of structure and discipline.
Food Service Manager
Bridge Street Mission employs a part-time (20-25 hours a week) Food Service Manager to serve those in our community who are experiencing hunger, addictions and homelessness. This involves preparing and serving generous, nutritious and high-quality meals which are served at either our Outreach Center or Sober Living Center. Preferred candidate will be excellent in menu planning using primarily donated food, be ServSafe certified and have experience mobilizing teams of volunteers. He or she will have a demonstrated ability to teach men in our culinary arts vocational tract.
Capital Campaign Manager
Bridge Street Mission employs a full-time Capital Campaign Manager to work with the Executive Director with administration and logistics to successfully raise $5 million toward BSM’s “On Track” capital campaign over the next 2 years. Success of this campaign will allow BSM to relocate to a unified campus while improving recovery and reentry programming for men, expanding day center and meal service as well as adding recovery and reentry programming for women. Primary responsibilities include organization of small and large group gatherings, coordination of tours, database management, dissemination of campaign communications and materials as well as solicitation of gifts ranging from $500 – $15,000. Preferred candidate should have familiarity, experience and competency with donor databases, special events, diverse communications and direct solicitation. A successful candidate would have the potential to remain beyond campaign as the Development Director.
