Greetings, friends.
We are sending our mission update early to encourage you to join us for 40 days of Prayer. On July 1st, 2019 we are starting our sober living program at our 43-room residential housing facility. We plan to use this time to encourage prayer and prepare for improved housing options and relationships. Please pray with us as we prepare for this pilot program and staffing the mission with employees and volunteers.
As we look to God’s Word we can find over 200 examples of prayers in the Bible. We will be sharing some examples and want to encourage learning more about prayer during this time. We will share from prayers from Genesis to Revelation. Recently a testimony was shared from a gal who was asked how she overcame her drug addictions. Without hesitation she responded it was because of her mother’s prayers. Her mother was faithful in prayer.
Consider this acronym P.U.S.H. Pray Until Something Happens. This mother’s example was to be faithful in prayer and continued until there was a result. Another acronym we can use is to help with types of prayer A.C.T.S. Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication. Let’s begin our 40 days of prayer with the Lord’s prayer together:
The Lord’s Prayer: Mathew 6:9-13
After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give is this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into Temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
for thine is the Kingdom,
and the power,
And the glory, for ever
Amen.
God has been so good and is worthy of all our praises! Thank you for your help and support – AND PRAYERS!
In Gods Abounding Grace!
