Greetings in the name of our King, Jesus Christ!
Jesus never promised that following Him would be easy, but He did invite us to find peace and rest that can come only from Him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30).
Our job as Christians is to simply show people where to take their burdens and perhaps help them carry a bag or two as we lead them to the true burden-reliever, Jesus Christ, who will take those old burdens off our hands and hearts. At the Bridge Street Mission, we are called to reach out to those who struggle with addiction and homelessness and help them gather their burdens and take them to the Lord Jesus who promises to help everyone who comes to Him (1 Peter 5:6-7). He alone will give even the worst of us true rest and the fulfillment that we have been looking for all along.
Please pray for us, as there are real spiritual battles being waged in the hearts and lives of many. Sometimes we resist the thing we’re actually longing for. Pray for our staff, volunteers, and our ministry, that with great enthusiasm we’ll be able to point people to Christ.

Work Day Scheduled
Are you capable and ready to roll up your sleeves to work? We have a task list about a mile long and need help. A workday for anyone who is even a little skilled with tools is scheduled for April 13th at 9:00 AM. Please come with your toolbox, old clothes, and your best efforts, and we’ll give you the option of a number of jobs based on your skill-set and available time. We’ll be working in the shared-living facility, which is located at 1140 W Bridge Street, Wausau, WI.
Other Public Events
If you haven’t attended the mission yet, please come for any of our events – we love visitors. If you’d like to help as a volunteer and are not signed up yet, please sign up by clicking here. Our next public event is a movie night Friday, April 12th at 6 PM. Pizza, soda, movie & popcorn! We’re showing INDIVISIBLE, based on an incredibly true story of an Army Chaplain. One marriage, one family, under God.
